The holder of a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Alabama, Mike Elmore leverages nearly 20 years of engineering and project management experience in his role as the president of Sun Mountain, LLC. A former United States Air Force Captain, Mike Elmore places an emphasis on hiring military veterans.

The Invictus Games is an international athletic competition for wounded and injured military veterans. While the games provide veterans with a venue to excel in sport, the organization is also committed to helping veterans find full-time employment.

The 2017 event featured the Toronto 2017 Veterans Career Summit, which was attended by more than 200 business leaders. The two-day summit included workshops, career counseling, and recruitment information sessions for veterans.
One of the companies that attended the event was Commissionaires, a security enterprise that employs 6,000 veterans. In conjunction with the event, Canada's Minister of Veterans Affairs Seamus O'Regan announced the creation of Veterans in the Public Service Unit, which will help veterans adapt to civilian employment.
